We are pleased to announce the publication, at the end of October 2025, of Cultural Crossroads: Netherlandish Painting and the Iberian Territories, 15th–17th Centuries, edited by Sacha Zdanov and Ana Diéguez-Rodríguez.

The result of the first study day of the Flemish Art in Spain project (Fondation Périer-D’Ieteren, Brussels & Instituto Moll, Madrid), the book brings together ten contributions that explore the circulation of artists, works and visual models between the Southern Netherlands and the Iberian territories from the 15th to the 17th century.
The studies highlight major figures such as Bartolomé Bermejo, Hans Memling, Ambrosius Benson, Pedro de Campaña, Gaspar de Crayer, Pieter van Lint and Cornelis Schut, offering a fresh perspective on artistic interactions that have been little studied to date.
Published in the Cahiers d’Études des Annales d’Histoire de l’Art et d’Archéologie series (no. 13), this volume is the first publication to emerge from the international Flemish Art in Spain project, which is set to continue with future events, including a day dedicated to sculpture (28 November 2025).
