Érasme Fund / ULB Foundation: scientific bases for a cross-sectional research against Coronavirus in terms of physiopathological and immunity response and public health impact
The Périer-D’Ieteren Foundation has decided to allocate €40,000 to the project developed by the Rector of the Université libre de Bruxelles, Yvon Englert, and Professor Jean-Michel Hougardy, which aims to collect, reference, label and store clinical data, serums, samples, biopsies, imageries and tissues from patients treated at the Érasme hospital who were infected by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the agent responsible for the COVID-19 disease. These are being gathered in the context and ahead of the urgent scientific research that will be carried out later by ULB specialist teams.
