Publication of Volume 47 (2025) of the Annals of Art History and Archaeology
Volume 47 (2025) of the Annals of Art History and Archaeology is now available. This new issue represents a significant milestone in the journal’s development, marked by an unprecedented opening to a large-scale inter-university collaboration.
For the first time, the publication brings together contributions from researchers affiliated with four French-speaking Belgian universities — located in Brussels, Liège, Louvain, and Namur. This initiative reflects a clear commitment to strengthening academic synergies and promoting collaborative research in the fields of art history and archaeology.
This collaboration between academic institutions illustrates an important evolution in research practices, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and the pooling of expertise. By bringing together several research institutions around a shared editorial project, this volume helps to enrich methodological perspectives and broaden the scope of inquiry.
The publication thus forms part of a broader effort to structure the Belgian scientific landscape, consolidating links between researchers and enhancing the visibility of work conducted in these fields.
